Baghdad: Baghdad Operations Command announced the seizure of drones, weapons, drugs and more than 100 surveillance cameras on both sides of Baghdad, Karkh and Rusafa.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the command stated in a statement that the detachments of the Joint Baghdad Operations Command arrested a number of defendants under various legal articles. Among those arrested, two individuals were found with 136 surveillance cameras and unauthorized collection lists for the Ministry of Electricity in their possession. Additionally, other individuals were apprehended for practicing magic and sorcery, possessing unlicensed weapons and ammunition. The operations also led to the seizure of two drones, weapons, ammunition, a quantity of narcotic substances, and devices used for their consumption. Furthermore, vehicles and motorcycles that violated traffic regulations were confiscated.
The command explained that these operations were conducted through the installation of “temporary” surprise checkpoints on both sides of Baghdad, Karkh and Rusafa, within the last 24 hours.
