Bodies of Two Children Found Drowned in the Tigris River in Shura District


Mosul: River Rescue teams in Nineveh Governorate announced today the discovery of the bodies of two children who drowned in the Tigris River in the Shura district, south of Mosul.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a River Rescue source revealed that diving teams recovered the bodies of two children, one aged ten and the other eight, following their drowning while swimming in a section of the river near the Shura district.



The source further stated that the teams began their search immediately upon receiving the report. The search operation persisted for approximately two hours before the two bodies were found. After completing legal procedures, the bodies were transferred to the Forensic Medicine Department in Mosul.
