Baghdad: The Security Media Commission has announced that several border crossings have been temporarily closed as part of ongoing administrative and security arrangements. These measures have been implemented by the relevant security authorities to address breaches and violations at these locations.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Commission detailed that the closures are necessary to facilitate a series of legal actions and to intensify intelligence operations, investigations, and audits. The aim is to thoroughly understand the circumstances surrounding the breaches and violations and to formulate effective solutions and remedies.
Despite these closures, the Commission confirmed that the Zurbatiyah and Al-Mundhiriya border crossings remain open to travelers. These actions are part of a broader effort to enhance border security and ensure the integrity of the nation’s entry points.
