The Border Guard forces thwarted an attempt to infiltrate a group of people, and arrested one of them, west of Nineveh.

A statement by the Border Guard Command stated that, as part of its tasks to secure the borders and prevent cases of infiltration and smuggling, the forces of the 1st Regiment in the 17th Brigade thwarted an attempt to infiltrate a group of people after opening fire on the regiment’s units. After his injury, he was later handed over to the competent authorities to take legal action against him.
