Baghdad: A boy was arrested for attempting to steal a bicycle belonging to a medical assistant who was treating his father. The Facilities Protection and Anti-Crime units in Kirkuk Governorate arrested a 10-year-old boy who attempted to steal a vehicle belonging to a medical assistant while the assistant was performing his duties at a hospital.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the incident unfolded when the medical assistant parked his vehicle in the hospital garage and proceeded to the patient ward to attend to the boy’s father, who was receiving treatment. Seizing the opportunity, the boy endeavored to drive the vehicle away. However, the Facilities Protection units were alert and managed to intercept the vehicle, leading to the boy’s arrest swiftly.

During subsequent investigations, the boy admitted to being involved in multiple previous thefts alongside another individual. The Anti-Crime team successfully orchestrated an ambush, resulting in the apprehension of his accomplice.
