BRICS Leaders Commit to Peaceful Conflict Resolution Through Dialogue


New delhi: The BRICS leaders’ summit announced on Saturday their commitment to the peaceful resolution of international disputes through dialogue, consultation, and diplomacy. In a statement, the leaders said, “We reaffirm our commitment to the peaceful resolution of international disputes through dialogue, consultation, and diplomacy.”



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the statement further emphasized the importance of conflict prevention, addressing root causes, and promoting a multilateral approach that respects diverse perspectives on critical global issues. The leaders expressed concern about increasing nuclear threats and conflicts, underscoring the necessity of cooperation to ensure the stability of global trade, supply chains, and energy.



The BRICS summit commenced today in New Delhi, India, with participation from Russian President Vladimir Putin and other member state leaders. The two-day event aims to facilitate an exchange of views on pressing global and regional issues.
