London: Britain, along with 24 other countries, has issued a strong appeal for an immediate end to the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Foreign Ministers released a joint statement through the British government’s official website, highlighting the severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza. They expressed grave concern over the unprecedented levels of civilian suffering and criticized the Israeli government’s current aid provision model, stating that it exacerbates instability and undermines the dignity of Gaza’s residents.

The statement condemned the ongoing restrictions on aid delivery, as well as the inhumane killings of civilians, including children, who are striving to access basic necessities like water and food. The ministers described the death of over 800 Palestinians in their pursuit of aid as “appalling.”

Further, the ministers emphasized the importance of Israel adhering to international humanitarian law. They urged the Israeli government to promptly lift restrictions on aid flow, allowing the United Nations and humanitarian organizations to perform their critical work efficiently and safely.

The joint statement also rejected proposals to relocate Palestinian residents to a so-called humanitarian city, denouncing such actions as a violation of international humanitarian law. The ministers firmly opposed any initiatives intended to alter the geography or demographics of the occupied Palestinian territory.
