Baghdad: The Cabinet has decided to designate the Mandali-Sumar border crossing as an international port.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Cabinet, in its session held today, Tuesday, approved that all government agencies, especially the Ministries of Oil, Water Resources, and Electricity, should meet their needs for specialized machinery and equipment from their existing resources or through leasing from the private and public sectors via competitive bidding.

The Cabinet also approved issuing regulations to govern the import of used materials.
