Baghdad: The Cabinet voted to confirm Amer Shaker al-Janabi as head of the Sunni Endowment Office. Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani had previously tasked al-Janabi with serving as acting head of the Sunni Endowment Office for six months, directing him to work on promoting moderate discourse, rejecting extremism, and keeping the institution free from any political or electoral exploitation, thereby strengthening its position and role in society.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the confirmation of al-Janabi marks a significant step in ensuring stability and continuity within the Sunni Endowment Office. Al-Janabi’s leadership is expected to focus on maintaining the institution’s independence and enhancing its influence in fostering community relations.
