Kirkuk The head of the Iraqi Turkmen Front, Hasan Turan, affirmed that the Iraqi Turkmen are greater than the campaigns of incitement and excitement, and that the Turkmens adhere to their national identity with pride.

This came in the joint meeting of the Political Bureau and officials of the Iraqi Turkmen Front’s branches and offices in the governorates, in which the political and security developments in the country were discussed, and the presence of the head of the Turkmen Front in the meeting of the presidencies and leaders of the national forces and political blocs held on July 21, 2022 in the capital, Baghdad.

Turan stressed that the bombing incident in Zakho is a painful tragedy, once again that the Turkmen extend their deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs of the accident, with a speedy recovery for the wounded and injured.

The head of the Iraqi Turkmen Front spoke about his active participation in the meeting of the presidencies and leaders of the national forces and political blocs, and his presentation of the Turkmen vision of the necessity of addressing national issues in accordance with constitutional principles and combating the presence of terrorist organizations inside Iraqi territory as a basis for resolving these violations, and that the Iraqi Turkmen Front submitted its proposal on forming a joint committee between the two neighbors and the need to conduct a comprehensive and serious investigation to uncover the circumstances of the accident and state the facts.

The head of the Iraqi Turkmen Front indicated that the exclusionary practices and campaigns of incitement and bullying against the Turkmen component in social communication, will harm national cohesion and threaten security and societal peace, and that the Turkmen are Iraqis who renew their adherence to Iraqi citizenship and continue to make sacrifices in order to raise Iraq’s standing in all fields./.End
