Baghdad: The Ministry of Interior announced a significant drug bust involving the seizure of 51 kilograms of Captagon pills and the arrest of two suspects, one of whom is of Arab nationality.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry detailed in a press release that detachments from the General Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances, including the Special Investigations and Covert Surveillance Departments, executed two separate security operations. These operations were successful in apprehending two dangerous suspects and confiscating a substantial quantity of Captagon pills.

The Ministry’s statement further elaborated that legal actions have already been initiated against the suspects. The individuals have been referred to the competent judicial authorities, where they are expected to face appropriate legal consequences for their involvement in the illegal drug trade.
