Casablanca Police Arrest Foreign Tourist for Alleged Involvement in Sexual Exploitation of Minors – DGSN

Elements of the Casablanca police prefecture arrested a 36-year-old foreign tourist from an Arab country on Saturday for his alleged involvement in a case linked to the indecent assault and sexual exploitation of minors.

The National Security services had launched a judicial investigation on the basis of information that a hotel had prevented the accused from accommodating minors in his room, according to a statement by the General Directorate for National Security (DGSN).

Intensive searches and investigations led to the apprehension of the accused, who was in the company of three minors aged between 16 and 17, caught in the act of attempted hijacking and sexual exploitation.

Officers from the juvenile brigade were tasked with taking charge of and listening to the minors before subjecting them to the necessary medical expertise, while investigating the existence of any other possible victims of these criminal acts.

The accused was placed in police custody for the judicial investigation, which is being carried out under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to shed light on all the criminal acts attributed to him and to elucidate the circumstances and ramifications of this case.
