CBI Issues Instructions to Regulate Foreign Currency Allotments for Travelers

Ankara: The Central Bank issued instructions on Wednesday to regulate foreign currency quotas for travelers.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the bank’s media office stated in a press release that the instructions include setting a ceiling of $2,000 per month for adult travelers, instead of $3,000. This change is part of an effort to develop the management of foreign currency sales operations, enhance the efficiency of resource allocation, and align with best international banking practices.

The statement added that this measure is part of a package of regulatory reforms implemented by the Central Bank. These reforms aim to ensure access to foreign currency for all, thereby contributing to strengthening the stability of the money market and improving the efficiency of resource management.
