Ceasefire Agreement Between Lebanon and Israel Extended Until February 18


Washington: The White House announced today that the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel has been extended until February 18. This extension is being supervised by the United States.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the White House statement indicated that Lebanon, Israel, and the United States will commence negotiations concerning the Lebanese detainees held since October 7, 2023. The ceasefire agreement, which originally took effect on November 27, includes a provision for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanese territories after a period of 60 days from the start of the agreement.
