Baghdad:The Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Nizar Nasser Hussein, has announced an increase in the dollar allowance for travelers to $3,000 per visit.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the announcement was made during the sixteenth session of the Ministerial Council for the Economy, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Mohammed Tamim. The session, held at the Council building, was attended by key ministers and officials, including those from Finance, Planning, and other sectors.

The council discussed various agenda items and made necessary decisions. Among the topics was the issue of maintaining the dollar exchange rate. The Central Bank Governor highlighted the increase in the travelers’ dollar allowance as part of the discussions.
