Chief Justice Faiq Zidane Engages in Talks with Spanish Public Prosecutor on Prosecution Operations


Madrid: The President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zidane, held a meeting with the Spanish Attorney General, Alvaro Garc­a Ortiz, to discuss the operational framework of the Public Prosecution in Spain. This engagement highlights international collaboration in judicial practices and organized crime prevention.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting involved a comprehensive review of the Public Prosecution Office’s functions in Spain. The discussions are part of Judge Zidane’s visit to Spain, which was organized by the European Commission/EU ACT Program for International Cooperation. The visit aims to foster experience sharing in the establishment of specialized judicial bodies and public prosecution units specifically targeting drug trafficking and organized crime.



Judge Zidane’s visit underscores the importance of international cooperation in enhancing judicial processes and strengthening the global fight against organized crime. The partnership seeks to bolster efforts in both nations to combat criminal activities effectively.
