NASIRIYAH: A Chinese worker at Nasiriyah Airport has died following injuries sustained in a fall from a construction site within the airport premises, according to local authorities. The worker, a 30-year-old Chinese national, had been hospitalized for ten days before succumbing to his injuries. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the incident occurred when the worker fell from a building that was under construction at the airport. He was promptly taken to Nasiriyah Hospital, where medical staff endeavored to treat his injuries. Despite their efforts, complications from the fall ultimately led to his death. Authorities have since transferred the worker's body to the Forensic Medicine Department to complete the necessary legal formalities. This step is part of the process to hand over his body to the relevant authorities, who will then arrange for its return to China.
