Civil Defense Recovers 7 Skeletal Bodies of ISIS Victims Inside Old Mosul

MOSUL: Civil Defense teams in Nineveh have recovered seven skeletal bodies, including those of four women, from beneath the rubble in Old Mosul, authorities announced on Sunday. According to National Iraqi News Agency, a source in the Civil Defense reported that the recovery operation took place in collaboration with Nineveh Health in the Amou Al-Baqal area of Old Mosul. The operation led to the discovery of the remains, which have now been handed over to the forensic medicine department in Mosul for identification and to locate their relatives. The recovery of these bodies underscores the continued efforts to address the aftermath of the conflict in Mosul, a city once heavily affected by ISIS control. The task of identifying the deceased and providing closure to their families remains a priority for authorities in the region.
