Kut The civil defense teams put out a fire that broke out in the Martyr Fairouz Hospital in al-Hay neighborhood of Wasit.
A member of the media committee in the province’s health department, Haider Al-Taie, told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): “The fire that broke out in the Martyr Fairouz Hospital was a simple fire in a warehouse belonging to the operating theater and it was extinguished by the hospital staff and civil defense teams.”
He added: “The fire did not cause any human casualties, except for minor material damage, and an investigative committee was formed by the competent authorities for the purpose of holding the negligent accountable, if any,” noting: “The hospital continues to provide its medical services.”
