Baghdad: The administration of the Eidaah platform has announced that reports about the launch of a form to apply for land plots are false.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the platform’s administration stated that pages and accounts on social media have been distributing a video claiming to offer a form for applying for land plots through a Telegram channel named ‘The Iraqi Council of Ministers.’ This video is accompanied by a link to the form and a contact number, with assertions that priority will be given to social welfare recipients, families of martyrs, wounded veterans, and eligible citizens.

The administration emphasized that this claim is false, noting that no official announcement has been made by the Council of Ministers or its General Secretariat regarding the launch of any such form. It was clarified that the Telegram channel named ‘The Iraqi Council of Ministers’ with the ID (wazar18) is fake, lacking any affiliation with the Council of Ministers or the General Secretariat, and does not represent any official government entity.

The administration also highlighted that the fake channel is promoting a fraudulent form through an unofficial link. Consequently, individuals are advised not to fill out the form or enter any personal information. The platform urged citizens to rely solely on official pages and websites for any announcements regarding forms or government services. It was revealed that the fake channel used the Iraqi News Channel’s video template along with an audio recording containing misleading information that was neither issued nor published by the channel.
