Commander-in-Chief Reinforces Adherence to Eid al-Fitr Security Plans


Baghdad: Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, has emphasized the critical importance of strictly following the detailed security and service plans for Eid al-Fitr without any relaxation in implementation.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Prime Minister’s Media Office issued a statement that Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, also the Prime Minister, visited the Joint Operations Command headquarters. During the visit, he assessed the security and service strategies designed for Eid al-Fitr, in the presence of the Mayor of Baghdad. Al-Sudani highlighted the necessity for all security and service agencies to meticulously follow their assigned duties and responsibilities within their jurisdiction.



The Prime Minister underscored that Eid al-Fitr is a significant religious and social event, necessitating exceptional dedication and coordination from the security and service entities. The focus is on ensuring smooth citizen mobility, efficient transportation flow, and maintaining public order. He stressed the importance of discipline and professionalism during the holy occasion.



The statement further elaborated that al-Sudani also visited the Air Targeting Cell’s headquarters within the Joint Operations Command. He evaluated their ongoing efforts in targeting and neutralizing terrorist threats and stressed the need for continuous enhancement of military strategies against terrorism.



Al-Sudani acknowledged the Air Targeting Cell’s achievements and the advancements made through activating national capabilities, improving air surveillance, and aerial reconnaissance. These efforts are vital in bolstering security and stability across the nation.
