Baghdad: The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces’ office has engaged in significant discussions with a Saudi security delegation, focusing on border control and enhancing information exchange.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Security Media Cell announced that the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces received a high-level security and military delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The meeting was attended by Lieutenant General Abdul Amir al-Shammari, Director of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, and the head of the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, alongside deputies and directors from various security and intelligence agencies.

The press release highlighted that this meeting builds upon earlier discussions held in Riyadh and is part of ongoing security coordination efforts between Iraq and Saudi Arabia. The primary focus of these discussions was to strengthen the control measures along the shared border and to intensify the sharing of intelligence, aiming to enhance bilateral cooperation.

The meeting concluded with both parties affirming their mutual commitment to reinforcing and advancing security mechanisms, intending to positively influence the security and stability of both nations.
