Erbil: Commander of the Border Forces, Lieutenant General Mohammed Abdul Wahab Sakr, visited the Kurdistan Region’s Ministry of Interior office in Erbil for a meeting with the Regional Government’s Minister of Interior, Rebar Ahmed.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on expanding coordination and joint efforts between the Border Forces Command and the Ministry of Interior. Discussions centered on securing the border strip within the First Border Zone and strengthening joint security measures against cross-border challenges and threats.
Both parties emphasized the importance of intensifying field cooperation and exchanging information to increase readiness and enhance stability in border areas. They also highlighted the necessity of ongoing meetings and direct coordination to achieve mutual security objectives.
