Basra: Commander of the Fourth Border Region, Major General Nawfal Hassan Fouad, alongside Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Shorsh Khaled Saeed, and representatives from the Naval Forces Command, conducted a reconnaissance tour of the border region separating Iraq and Kuwait. The tour aimed to assess the current situation along the border.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the tour commenced from the initial border support within the First Regiment of the Fourteenth Border Brigade, extending to the final support within the Third Regiment of the same brigade. The primary focus of the reconnaissance was to review the border separating the Republic of Iraq and the State of Kuwait, while also surveying the oil wells situated in both countries.

Additionally, the delegation visited the Umm Qasr Naval Base. During this visit, a meeting was convened with the Commander and officers of the Naval Forces to discuss existing challenges and understandings related to the border strip. The discussions aimed to address issues and enhance coordination between the involved parties.
