Baghdad: The Coordination Framework held its 242nd regular meeting on Monday at the office of First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, attended by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, to discuss key local, regional, and international issues.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Coordination Framework reiterated its condemnation of the attack that targeted Yemen, which resulted in the deaths of the Prime Minister and several government officials. This statement underscores the Framework’s position against acts of aggression in the region.

During the meeting, a comprehensive assessment of Iraq’s water and electricity sectors was presented by the Prime Minister. The Coordination Framework reviewed the government’s proposed solutions and submitted recommendations to support these efforts, indicating a collaborative approach to addressing infrastructure challenges.

The Coordination Framework also expressed its approval of the steps taken by the International Coalition in implementing the agreement signed with Iraq. This reflects Iraq’s commitment to establishing balanced bilateral relations based on mutual interests with coalition member states across various levels.

The meeting concluded with a call to influential regional countries, urging them to adopt a joint vision to confront shared security, economic, and environmental challenges, highlighting the need for regional cooperation and unity.
