Baghdad: The Coordination Framework has emphasized its dedication to conducting the upcoming elections as planned and has cautioned against the deployment of political finances to sway public sentiment. The organization urges the Iraqi populace to update their biometric voting cards and engage actively and conscientiously in the electoral process.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Coordination Framework’s media office released a statement following a regular meeting held on the evening of June 2, 2025, at Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim’s office. The meeting, attended by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, focused on recent political, service, and electoral developments.

In relation to the Kurdistan Region, the Coordination Framework called for the resolution of national issues in alignment with the constitution and governing laws. It stressed the federal government’s commitment to ensuring the rights of all citizens and its efforts to overcome existing challenges.

A significant point of discussion was the enactment of an oil and gas law by the House of Representatives, deemed essential for resolving outstanding issues between Baghdad and Erbil. The Coordination Framework underscored this legislation as pivotal to addressing disputes.

In reiterating its electoral commitments, the Coordination Framework urged the Iraqi citizens to participate broadly and actively in the elections, emphasizing the importance of updating biometric voting cards. The statement also highlighted a warning against the influence of political money on public opinion.
