According to data from the State Health Commission of China: The epidemiological situation in China continues to deteriorate, with 1,150 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 9,385 asymptomatic carriers detected in the mainland in the past 24 hours.
China has adhered to the zero-tolerance policy of the virus almost since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, and China’s epidemic control remains one of the most stringent in the world. Even if only a few cases of infection are detected, entire regions and cities can be isolated.
Shanghai went into a three-month lockdown last spring, causing major disruptions to production and supply around the world, as the city registered record infection rates for China, with more than 20,000 cases on some days.
In recent months, China has again witnessed a deterioration in the epidemiological situation due to the outbreak of Covid, and a partial closure was imposed in a number of cities, and people were forced to undergo a daily PCR test.
