Coronavirus In The World … More Than 198 Million Infections And More Than 4 Million Deaths

Baghdad A global census showed that 198.02 million people were infected with the emerging coronavirus, which causes the Covid-19 worldwide, while the total number of deaths resulting from the virus reached 4,382,974 deaths.

Infections with the virus have been recorded in more than 210 countries and regions since the first cases were discovered in Wuhan, China, in December 2019.

Yesterday, Sunday, the Brazilian Ministry of Health stated that it had recorded 20,503 new infections with the Coronavirus, and 464 deaths within 24 hours, “while the total number of coronavirus infections in Brazil has reached 19.9 million since the emergence of the pandemic, while the official number of deaths reached 556,834, according to the ministry’s data. .

Brazil currently records the third largest number of Coronavirus infections in the world after the United States and India, and ranks second in the world in the number of deaths.

With the progress of the vaccination campaign with vaccines, the death rate fell in 7 days to 932 last week, compared to about 3,000 deaths at the height of the pandemic in early April.

In terms of vaccines, the total number of anti-Corona vaccines that have been provided around the world has reached 4,114,817,198, according to the Johns Hopkins University Observatory for monitoring Covid-19.

China leads the world in providing vaccines to the population, as the number of doses that were administered reached 1,652,819,000 doses.

India came second, providing 472,223,639, then the United States, which provided 345,294,817 doses of vaccine, and Brazil, which provided 135,589,358 doses of vaccine.
