Council of Ministers Allocates 5 Billion Dinars for Basra Canal Projects


Baghdad: The Council of Ministers has voted to allocate a significant sum of 5 billion dinars for the maintenance of irrigation projects and the completion of the lining of the Basra Canal. This financial decision aims to enhance the infrastructure and efficiency of water distribution in the region.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Council of Ministers has also directed efforts towards the completion of seawater desalination and the replacement projects for the critical section of the Basra Canal. These initiatives are part of a broader strategy to address water management challenges and improve water quality for the local population.
