Council of Ministers Approves Cost Increases for Infrastructure Projects


Baghdad: The Council of Ministers has sanctioned an increase in the total costs associated with several significant infrastructure projects. These include the construction of the concrete Husseiniya Bridge over the Tigris River, and the development of two-way lanes for the entrance to Al-Ahrar Road, the Kut-Baghdad Road, and the concrete Al-Ahrar Bridge.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Council, in its session held today, Tuesday, also approved additional funding for complementary works on the Basra Governorate Council building construction project. Furthermore, the Council endorsed cost increases for the main project of this building, infrastructure works for seventeen areas in the center of Basra Governorate, and the rehabilitation of infrastructure in the Dor Al-Naft area behind the Oil Cultural Center.



Additionally, the decision includes an increase in the total cost of the ring road project, which incorporates the Seventh Bridge in Nineveh Governorate.
