Baghdad: The Council of Ministers voted on the fifth semi-annual report concerning the implementation of the government program and has referred it to the House of Representatives in accordance with the law. The report outlines significant progress across multiple areas of the government program.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the report revealed an overall achievement rate of 83% of the government's program targets during its term. Notably, the last six months recorded the highest rates of achievement, with remarkable digital progress hitting 90% within the framework of the five main priorities.

The government program's efforts in supporting the poor and vulnerable groups reached an impressive achievement rate of 98.7%. In combating financial and administrative corruption, the implementation rate was 89.8%, while addressing unemployment and creating job opportunities achieved a rate of 77.9%.

Furthermore, the report highlighted that reforms in the economic and financial sectors reached a target implementation rate of 79%. Developments in the service sector, including the provision of urgent services, saw a 76% implementation rate.

In addition to the report, the Council of Ministers approved a 50% reduction in the issuance fee for electronic payment cards, capping the card price at 5,000 dinars. Commissions for electronic payment transactions at fuel supply stations were also reduced to 0.005, while maintaining the existing upper limit for deductions.
