Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani chaired the ninth regular session of the Council of Ministers today, addressing key national developments, significant files, and the progress of implementing the government program. The session also focused on agenda topics, resulting in various essential decisions.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani began the session by extending his congratulations to the Iraqi people on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, expressing his hopes that it will bring goodness and blessings to all Iraqis.
In the government’s ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure, the Council authorized the Minister of Finance, or her delegate, to sign a loan agreement with the French Development Agency (AFD) for the Al-Hamza District Sewerage Project in Diwaniyah Governorate. This decision aligns with the Federal General Budget Law (13 of 2023) and aims to benefit the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities, and Public Works over the next three fiscal years.
