Al-qaim: The Border Ports Authority has announced the arrest of a driver attempting to smuggle counterfeit foreign currency through the Al-Qaim border crossing.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the authority revealed that the Al-Qaim border crossing directorate successfully apprehended an Iraqi driver in possession of counterfeit foreign currency. In addition, the driver was found with 22 ancient coins, several foreign passports, and SIM cards.

The authority emphasized that the operation was executed in coordination with the customs center and supporting departments at the crossing. A formal seizure report was prepared, and both the driver and the confiscated items have been handed over to Al-Qaim police station for further legal procedures.
