Maysan: Maysan Police Command announced the arrest of a criminal gang consisting of three suspects accused of carrying out 16 thefts across different areas of the province.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a force from the Anti-Crime Department managed to apprehend the gang in the center of Al-Amarah city. This was achieved following intensive surveillance operations that included setting up ambushes, collecting accurate intelligence information, and cross-referencing data to locate the suspects.
The suspects confessed to committing 16 thefts involving motorcycles, several tuk-tuk vehicles, and mobile phones. Their statements have been legally recorded both initially and judicially, and they have been detained under Article 446 of the Penal Code.
Maysan Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to pursuing criminals and strengthening security measures throughout the province.
