Baghdad: The Counter-Terrorism Service announced the arrest of two terrorists and the execution of a series of search operations in several provinces.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a statement, the CTS said ‘our forces carried out two separate operations that resulted in the arrest of two terrorists in Anbar province.’

It added: “As part of search, investigation, and ambush operations, a search operation was conducted in Kirkuk province, and another in Salah al-Din province, which resulted in the destruction of several hideouts belonging to remnants of the ISIS terrorist gangs.”

It indicated that: “Continuing the operations to track down remnants of ISIS gangs, a search operation was carried out in Diyala province, which resulted in the discovery of explosives and ammunition in a weapons cache that was subsequently destroyed.”
