Baghdad: The Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS): denied on Monday the arrest of a member of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF).

According to Iraqi News Agency, a statement issued by the CTS said, “The Counter-Terrorism Service denies the news circulating on some social media platforms regarding the arrest of a member of the PMF.”

The statement further clarified, “The Counter-Terrorism Service is a professional and specialized agency that works to combat terrorism in accordance with judicial orders and with the approval of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.”

The CTS emphasized the importance of obtaining information from its official channels.
