Salah al-din: The Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) has successfully neutralized three terrorists and captured two others during a strategic operation in the Balkana area, located east of Salah al-Din.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation was meticulously planned based on intelligence and involved the collaboration of the Operations Directorate of the Kurdistan Region’s Asayish Service. The CTS forces from Sulaymaniyah and Kirkuk Counter-Terrorism Regiments executed a well-coordinated ambush in the Balkana Heights. The operation led to the elimination of three terrorists, including two individuals identified as sector commanders and a battalion commander.

The CTS further reported that the operation not only apprehended two additional suspects but also resulted in the seizure of significant quantities of weapons, ammunition, and materials used by the terrorist group.
