CTS: Rumors Targeting Al-Saadi Aim To Shake The Confidence Of Citizens In The Institute

Baghdad The Counter-Terrorism Service denied the rumors targeting the head of the CTS, Lieutenant-General Abdul-Wahhab Al-Saadi.

The Counter-Terrorism Service said in a statement: “In the past two days, a number of rumors have spread against the head of the Counter-Terrorism Service, First Lieutenant General Abdul-Wahhab Al-Saadi, on social media and satellite channels, behind which are malicious and cowardly media outlets that lack credibility and professionalism at a sensitive and current time in Iraq.”

The statement added: “The propaganda that some regularly practice on the counter-terrorism service aims to undermine the citizens’ confidence in this sober and powerful institution, which constitutes a factor of terror for terrorist and sabotage groups that always seek to sabotage everything that is good in this country and defames its national symbols whose history has been written in blood.”

The Counter-Terrorism Service denied “all rumors that lack morals and competition criteria, and affirms that the country’s interest is above all considerations and names.”
