Customs Seizes Narcotics at Baghdad International Airport

Baghdad: The General Authority of Customs announced the seizure of narcotics at Baghdad International Airport.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Authority stated that, under the direct supervision of the Director General of the General Authority of Customs, personnel in joint cooperation with the Anti-Narcotics Directorate/Baghdad Airport Division, and with support from the Customs Police, conducted a thorough inspection leading to the seizure of narcotics that were professionally hidden at the airport.

The statement further elaborated that the operation is part of the Authority's ongoing efforts to combat smuggling and ensure the country's security and the safety of its citizens. It was also noted that all necessary legal measures have been taken in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
