Wasit: The Czech Ambassador to Iraq, Jan ‚¬¦ nedaov, visited Wasit Governorate to discuss potential cooperation in industrial, agricultural, and commercial sectors with the local government.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Council Chairman Ali Salimoun highlighted that the meeting focused on joint cooperation prospects and enhancing investment opportunities in Iraq, with particular attention to the transportation sector through a proposed tram project. This project is seen as vital for developing infrastructure and improving urban transport.
Salimoun noted that discussions also explored the potential for opening new cooperation avenues in industrial, agricultural, and commercial sectors, leveraging Czech expertise. He emphasized Wasit Governorate’s secure and investment-friendly environment, along with the availability of essential raw materials for industrial projects. This positions the governorate as an attractive destination for investors aiming to implement strategic projects that bolster the local economy.
