Los Angeles: Meteorologists said today, Sunday, that the dangerous winds expected to hit Los Angeles next week could reignite the devastating fires that have caused destruction on the American West Coast for about two weeks. The National Weather Service in Los Angeles expected that “destructive Santa Ana winds and bad weather” would hit the city tomorrow, Monday, until the day after tomorrow, Tuesday, as wind speeds would reach 80 miles per hour (130 kilometers per hour).

According to National Iraqi News Agency, this news comes as firefighters said they were making progress in their efforts to contain the Palisades and Eaton fires amid falling temperatures and receding winds. At least 27 people have died since the outbreak of the fires on January 7, which destroyed and damaged more than 12,000 facilities in different neighborhoods. Several people are still missing.
