Death of Fairuz’s Son: Ziad Rahbani


Beirut: Lebanese artist Ziad Rahbani passed away this morning at the age of 69. Ziad Rahbani, a prominent figure in the Arab artistic world, was known for his significant contributions to music and theatre, following in the footsteps of his renowned artistic family.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Ziad Rahbani was the son of the iconic Lebanese singer Fairuz and the late artist Assi Rahbani. His career began at an early age, marked by his distinctive style in music and singing. Rahbani was also celebrated for his satirical approach in both personal expression and writing.



Among his most notable works are the plays “Nazl al-Surur,” “Shey Fashil,” “Filam Amriki Ta’ili,” and “Nisbih Bikra Sho,” which are recognized for their satirical and critical style, reflecting his unique perspective on societal issues.
