Gaza City: The death toll from the Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip has risen to more than 230 martyrs, with dozens more wounded, most of them children and women. Many individuals remain trapped under the rubble of targeted homes as the raids continue.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, hospitals in the Gaza Strip are receiving dozens of bodies around the clock. Medical teams and residents face challenges retrieving bodies from the rubble or transporting them from bombed areas due to continued Israeli airstrikes across several areas of Gaza.
Civil Defense sources in Gaza report that they are inundated with appeals to rescue individuals trapped under the debris of homes destroyed by Israeli aircraft. However, their ability to respond is hindered by insufficient equipment. Rescue teams also encounter significant difficulties reaching the affected areas due to ongoing heavy shelling by Israeli forces.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli forces have launched a sustained aggression against the Gaza Strip. This has resulted in the martyrdom of 48,577 Palestinians, predominantly children and women, and the injury of 112,041 others, with a number of victims still buried under the rubble.
