Death Toll from US Airstrikes in Sanaa Increases Amid Escalating Tensions

Sanaa: Yemeni medical sources confirmed that nine civilians were killed and nine others injured in US airstrikes on sites in the capital, Sanaa, Saturday evening. This marks a new escalation in military operations in Yemen ordered by US President Donald Trump.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trump intends to escalate military operations against the Houthi group in Yemen. Sources indicate that the US administration is planning to increase airstrikes against Houthi sites.

Reports also indicate that the United States intends to deploy military forces in southern Yemen to conduct training missions for government forces and monitor the coasts, with the aim of preventing smuggling and securing international shipping.

This escalation comes after the Houthis threatened to resume attacks on Israeli commercial and military vessels, posing a threat to international maritime security.

Earlier this evening, fighter jets believed to be Israeli targeted Houthi sites in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, with intensive airstrikes amid rising tensions in the Red Sea after the group threatened to resume targeting shipping vessels.
