Gaza: The death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 61,499, with the majority being children and women, and 153,575 wounded since the assault began on October 7, 2023. Palestinian medical sources reported these alarming figures on Monday, highlighting the severe human impact of the conflict.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, in the past 24 hours alone, 69 martyrs, including one whose body was recovered, and 362 wounded have been admitted to Gaza Strip hospitals. The recent escalation follows the occupation’s violation of a ceasefire agreement on March 18, leading to 9,989 deaths and 41,534 injuries since then.
Medical sources further explained that in the past 24 hours, hospitals received 29 martyrs and 127 injured individuals. This brings the total number of martyrs who have arrived at hospitals to 1,807, and the total number of injured to 13,021. The dire situation underscores the urgent need for international attention and humanitarian aid.
