Death Toll Rises to 53,901 in Gaza Amid Ongoing Aggression

Gaza: The death toll from the ongoing Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 53,901 martyrs, in addition to 122,593 wounded.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that hospitals in the Strip received 79 martyrs over the past 24 hours, including 5 who were pulled from under the rubble, and 211 wounded. The ministry noted that the number does not include hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip governorate, due to the difficulty of accessing them due to the ongoing Zionist aggression.

The Ministry added that the number of martyrs and wounded since March 18 has reached 3,747 martyrs, and 10,552 wounded, noting that a number of victims are still under the rubble and on the streets, unable to be reached by ambulances and civil defense teams.

The Zionist entity resumed its aggression on the Gaza Strip on March 18, after a two-month hiatus under a ceasefire agreement that came into effect on January 19. However, the occupation violated the terms of the ceasefire over the course of the two months, as it continued its bombing of various areas of the Gaza Strip, which is experiencing an unprecedented humanitarian tragedy.
