Baghdad:The Minister of Defense, Nayef Al-Shammari, has emphasized the critical need to enhance the capabilities of staff officers, particularly in the areas of planning, managing operations, and joint work.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Shammari visited the Staff College located in Al-Rustamiya camp, where he was received by the Dean of the College, Lieutenant General Hamed Mahdi Al-Zuhairi. During the visit, the minister underscored the importance of developing staff officers’ skills to meet the armed forces’ current requirements, highlighting the college’s role in preparing scientifically and professionally competent cadres.

The minister’s visit was accompanied by several key officials, including the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense, the Director General of the General Directorate of Budget and Programs, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, and the Secretary of Training at the General Secretariat.
