Defense Minister Inspects Sumer Operations Sector In Dhi Qar Governorate

Baghdad Defense Minister Jumah Anad inspected the Sumer operations sector in Dhi Qar governorate, accompanied by the deputy chief of staff of the army for operations, the commander of the ground forces and a number of senior commanders and officers of the ministry.

A statement by the Ministry of Defense stated that the minister’s first station was the Operations Command as he presided over a security meeting that included the commander of operations, the staff officers and directors of the security and intelligence services, in which he emphasized the work to maintain the continuity of security and good deal with all segments of society and provide the necessary security services to the demonstrators and protect them and maintain coordination with them and all security forces in a way that serves the march of security and the law. ”

The statement added, “The Minister of Defense met on the sidelines of his inspection visit a number of wounded of army, informed of their health and administrative conditions, issuing orders and directives to overcome the obstacles and complete their transactions and all their rights.”

On the other hand, the minister conducted an inspection tour of the supply stores of the Sumer operations sector to see by himself the validity of foodstuffs and ways of storing them, stressing the great interest in the fighters’ livelihood and the timing of their distribution to military units.

The Minister of Defense concluded his tour in Dhi Qar governorate by visiting the governorate’s office and meeting the governor and a number of government officials and clan dignitaries, and he discussed with them ways to sustain the security reality and develop it to a level that suits Dhi Qar Governorate and its original people.
