Hilla: Dozens of holders of advanced degrees in the Ministry of Education demonstrated today in front of the Babil Education Directorate building to protest the suspension of their university service allowances.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a correspondent reported that the demonstration included employees, teachers, and instructors from the Babil Education Directorate, all of whom hold advanced degrees.

The protest was organized in response to the Ministry of Finance’s decision to cut the university service allowances. The demonstrators voiced their discontent and threatened to escalate their protest by staging a sit-in and blocking roads if their demands were not addressed.
