Al-Kut / NINA / – Hundreds of Al-Kut residents demonstrated and blocked a number of the main streets in the city, in protest against the attempt to re-approve the St. Lego Elections Law.
One of the protesters, Ahmed Al-Tayeb, told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that we crossed the main streets in Kut to express our anger at the attempt to re-approve the St. Lego system for elections, adding that we also renew our categorical refusal to reactivate the Provincial Councils once and for all./ End
